A catalyst for social change, Anna’s commitment to sustainable development is apparent in the energy she brings to all endeavors. Her passion for not only protecting vulnerable communities but facilitating their growth has resulted in a leading role at modzi.
In 2017, Anna received a Masters of Education degree in Human Development & Psychology from Harvard University. In addition to her degree, Anna also received a Certificate in Child Advocacy from Harvard's Graduate School of Education and a UNICEF Certificate in Child Protection from Harvard's FXB Center for Health & Human Rights. Her work focuses predominantly on international human rights, inclusive education policy, trauma-informed emergency relief, and global poverty alleviation.
Anna received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Affairs from Northeastern University in 2014, where she also completed minors in Global Social Entrepreneurship and African Studies. Having spent just three semesters on Northeastern's campus, her specialization in social development comes from both her academic and professional achievements abroad. With a wide range of fieldwork in places such as Haiti, Nicaragua, Indonesia, Ghana, South Africa, and Zambia, Anna has encountered various developmental challenges firsthand, furthering her ability to manage modzi's international team.
Through work with grassroots enterprises as well as international organizations such as the US Fund for UNICEF, Basketball Without Borders, and the National Basketball Association, Anna has gained extensive experience in both policy and practice. She has collaborated on numerous sustainable change initiatives and drawn diverse perspectives grounded in her experiential learning. Her unique background has shaped a thorough understanding of successful program creation and implementation, both of which allow her to continuously expand modzi’s reach and connect motivated change-makers worldwide.
